Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Kampong Village mobile application and related services (the “Service”) provided by Kampong Village (“we”, “us” or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Kampong Village is designed for parents and caregivers to manage information about the children in their care. Children themselves do not create accounts, and you may only add information about a child if you are that child’s parent or a caregiver authorised by the child’s parent.

You are solely responsible for any content you create, upload or share within the Service, including child profiles, moments, comments, Jios and messages. You represent that you have the rights to any content you share and that it does not violate any law or third-party right.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent or infringing purpose;
• harass, abuse, threaten or impersonate another person;
• upload content that infringes the privacy or intellectual property rights of others;
• attempt to access another user’s data without authorisation; or
• interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security measures.

Parents remain in control of their child’s profile, relationships and access. You are responsible for approving members of your child’s village and for the content and connections associated with profiles you create. Where you approve caregivers or friends, you authorise them to view information about the relevant child in accordance with the access levels you choose.

Our collection, use and protection of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

You retain ownership of your content. By sharing it within the Service, you grant us a limited licence to host, store, display and transmit that content solely as needed to operate the Service for you and the members of your village.

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time, and we are not liable to you for any such changes.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be error-free, or that information shared within it will always be accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kampong Village and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request for your data to be deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we believe your activity harms the Service or its users.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
